SILVER MIND GLOBAL AI
This week we’ll teach you how to plan your next trip with AI in under 10 minutes!

Is there a trip you’ve been meaning to book? A long over-due holiday? Maybe it's been sitting in the back of your mind for months… Japan, perhaps? Or a slow week in northern Italy? Or maybe it's something closer to home.
This week, we're going to show you how AI can turn those travel dreams into reality in the time it takes to finish a cup of tea!
AI as your personal travel planner
Here's something that surprises most people the first time they try it: AI is remarkably good at travel planning. Not because it books flights for you (it doesn't), but because it can take a vague idea, "I want to go somewhere warm in June, not too rushed, good food" and turn it into a real, day-by-day itinerary tailored to exactly what you're looking for.
No scrolling through seventeen tabs. No getting overwhelmed by TripAdvisor reviews. Just a conversation, in plain English, where you describe what you want and AI helps you figure out how to make it happen.
How to start: just describe what you want
Open up your AI platform of choice (for example: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini etc.).

The best thing about using AI for travel is that you don't need to be specific to begin. You can start vague and get more detailed as you go.
Here's the kind of thing you can say:
"I want a 10-day trip to Japan in October. I'm 67, I walk well but don't want to rush. I love history, good food, and gardens. No more than two flights."
"Can you plan a road trip from Sydney to Melbourne for two people? We want to stop at interesting spots along the way and stay somewhere comfortable each night."
"I'd like a week in Tuscany, mainly small towns, local wine, not too many tourists. What would you suggest?"
AI will ask follow-up questions if it needs to, or it'll give you an itinerary straight away that you can then refine.
What to ask AI to include
Once you have a basic plan, you can keep the conversation going to add detail. Try asking:
For accommodation: "Can you suggest a hotel or guesthouse that would suit a couple in their 60s who prefer quiet, central locations over large resorts that’s under $200 a night?"
For mobility or health: "We need restaurants that aren't up lots of stairs, and walking distances no more than 1km at a time. Can you adjust the plan with that in mind?"
For budget: "Can you give me a rough idea of what this trip might cost per day, in US, Canadian or Australian dollars?"
For a printable summary: "Can you now give me the full itinerary as a simple day-by-day list I can print out and take with me?"
Each of these is just a follow-up message in the same conversation. You don't need to start over, AI remembers everything you've discussed.
Your copy-paste prompt to get started right now
Open ChatGPT or Claude, paste this in, and fill in the blanks for your own trip:
"I'm planning a trip and would love your help. I'm [your age], travelling with [solo / partner / friends / family]. I'm thinking of going to [destination or 'somewhere warm / cultural / relaxing']. I'd like to go for around [number] days, sometime in [month or season]. I enjoy [things you love — history, food, walking, wine, wildlife, art, etc.] and I'd prefer [any preferences — slow pace, small towns, not too many tourists, accessible options, etc.]. Budget is around [rough daily budget or 'mid-range']. Can you suggest an itinerary and a few accommodation options to look at?"
A word on booking
AI won't book anything for you, and that's actually fine. Think of it as doing all the research and planning, so that when you do call your travel agent or go online to book, you already know exactly what you want. Many people find they get better results from travel agents when they arrive with a clear plan that AI has helped them shape.
The trip you've been putting off
In Australia, baby boomers are now taking an average of 1.3 international trips per year, almost double the national average. And the shift is clear: retirement is no longer seen as a time to slow down, but as the moment to finally travel properly.
If there's a trip you've been meaning to take, this is a gentle nudge to start planning it. AI makes the first step much easier than you think.
